Ziel der periimplant\u00e4ren Therapie ist es, die Implantate beim ersten Auftreten von Taschen, also ersten Anzeichen von Parodontitis, umgehend zu behandeln und nicht abzuwarten, bis der Verlust von tragendem Knochen so weit fortgeschritten ist, dass sie verloren gehen. Spezielle Techniken helfen entweder den Knochen zu regenerieren und die Implantate, die nach der Entz\u00fcndung an Knochenkontakt verloren haben, hygienef\u00e4higer zu gestalten.
